- Department of Veterans Affairs Network 21 Consolidated Contracting will be issuing a Request for Proposal for construction services to Renovate R1 Building at the Northern California Health Care System, 150 Muir Road, Martinez, California. General Construction: Contractor shall provide all design work, labor, materials, equipment, tools, excavation, shoring, testing, inspection, commissioning and necessary general conditions, that may be reasonably inferred from the Contract Documents to provide all Design Work and Construction Work for Renovation of Building R1 as further defined by the Scope of Work. The Renovation will use approximately 1,350 sfq of lab for the center for Aphasia that will two research wet labs. On the east side of the east side of the building approximately 872 sqf Lab will be reconfigured to make 3 offices, an audiology lab for two existing sound booths, infrastructure for two additional sound booths and an area for cubes space and computer servers to serve the sound booth testing rooms. Approximately 650 sqf other offices will be renovated. The entirety of the building will receive new floor coverings, type in-kind and painting. The building is approximately 12,500 sqf. The NAICS Code is 237130 and small business size is $33.5 Million. This solicitation is a total Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business set aside. This is a Pre-Solicitation announcement only. Solicitation documents will be available in the near future. Offeror will be required to submit both a technical and pricing proposal. Solicitation will contain proposal instructions. Estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. Questions regarding the solicitation must be sent in writing to robin.kaid-amerson@va.gov.
