- CASCADE/IDAHO CITY SPRING TREE PLANTING 2011 -- BOISE NATIONAL FOREST IN APPROXIMATELY 1 DAY, THE SOLICITATION FOR THIS COMMERCIAL SERVICE PROJECT WILL BE AVAILABLE TO VIEW AND PRINT. It is the purpose of this contract to secure services for planting Government-furnished tree seedlings. Tree seedlings will be delivered from the District tree cooler to the planting units in accordance with the provisions of this solicitation. Construction of helispots as needed may also be required For Item 1 only. Cutting of trees and brush to construct remote helispots may also be required if helicopters are used to transport personnel. Tree planting may occur on two Ranger Districts of the Boise National Forest. See project data sheet and maps in attachments for a list of the representative units and their locations. All items awarded will be to one contractor. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated as Government-furnished), and incidentals to perform all work necessary to plant tree seedlings on the areas specified. LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION Units under Pay Item 1 are located on the Cascade Ranger District of the Boise National Forest in central Idaho. Units under Pay Item 2 are located on the Idaho City Ranger District of the Boise National Forest. Cascade District Warm Lake Area. From Cascade, drive north approximately ½ mile and turn right on the Warm Lake Highway. Drive approximately 26 miles to the project area. Brush Boulder Area. From Cascade, take Cabarton road south approximately 2 1/2 miles and take a right on the Snowbank Mountain road #446 and drive approximately 2 ¾ miles to the project area. Refer to project maps for location to units. Idaho City District Drive State Highway 21 north from Idaho City to FS Rd 884, approximately 18 miles. Continue on the 384 rd 6 miles to FS RD 348. Drive north on the 348 rd 4 miles to FS RD 303. Refer to project maps for location to units. CONTACT MARK LEIS (208) 382-7437 FOR MORE INFORMATION.
