Description
This solicitation will be issued for a HUBZONE set-aside. The project consists of a Schedule A, Schedule B, Option X and Option Y. Schedule A: Schedule A includes work in the El Portal and Hodgdon Meadow areas of Yosemite National Park. Schedule A includes approximately 6,000 tons of ultra-thin bonded wearing course, 80,000 square yards of single layer chip seal, 65,000 square yards of micro-surfacing, 145 manhole adjustments, and 2,800 square yards of pavement patching. Patching includes wheel path milling along El Portal Road and other various locations designated by the Project Engineer. Schedule B: Schedule B includes all work areas described in Schedule A plus work in the Yosemite Valley area of Yosemite National Park. Schedule B includes approximately 13,300 tons of ultra-thin bonded wearing course, 100,000 square yards of single layer chip seal, 265,000 square yards of micro-surfacing, 230 manhole adjustments, and 3,400 square yards of pavement patching. Patching includes wheel path milling along El Portal Road and other various locations designated by the Project Engineer. Option X: Option X includes the work along Glacier Point Road in Yosemite National Park. The work includes approximately 3,600 tons of ultra-thin bonded wearing course, 7,000 square yards of micro-surfacing and 10 square yards of pavement patching. Option Y: Option Y includes work in the old residence area of El Portal. Option Y includes approximately 14,000 SQYD of micro-surfacing. This project uses a combination of funding sources. Included are Federal Lands Highway Program funds and National Park Service cyclic maintenance funds. Advertisement is expected in March 22, 2011. The contracting range for this project is between $3 million and $8 million. Construction is expected to occur from late April to September 30, 2011.
