- Solicitation THIS REQUIREMENT IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR 8a BUSINESSES ONLY. The NAICS code for this requirement is 238110 - Poured Concrete Foundation and Structure Contractors. The small business size standard is $14.0m. This requirement takes place at the north loading dock, US Department of Commerce, located at 1401 Constitution Ave., NW, Washington, DC 20230. This requirement is for the structural repair of the loading dock knee wall and stairs, exposed ceiling I beams above the entrance doorway, bumper columns and lower half of the side wall between the right side of the loading dock and the dumpster. The requirement requires the contractor to furnish all supervision, labor, parts, materials, tools and equipment to successfully perform the necessary repairs. The performance of this requirement cannot interfere with the day-to-day operations of the loading dock during regular operational hours Monday through Friday. The anticipated period of performance is April 29, 2011 through June 27, 2011. The work is to be performed on weekends only between 8:00 PM EST Friday and 5:00 AM EST Monday. A MANDATORY SITE VISIT has been scheduled for March 22, 2011 to start promptly at 1:00 PM EST and end promptly at 3:00 PM EST. Pictures may be taken of the proposed work site. Refer to clause 52.236-27 - Site Visit (Construction) on page 65 of the RFP for directions and instructions for the site visit. In accordance with FAR 36.204 -- Disclosure of the Magnitude of Construction Projects, the magnitude of construction for the entire project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price contract. Source selection will be based on the best value relating to past performance and proposed cost.
