- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for Carbon Fiber Sphere for the NASA Traveling Exhibit. NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from B W Color Prints, pursuant to FAR 13.106 forthe acquisition of supplies or services determine to be reasonably from one source. DESCRIPTION(1) 20 x 20 x 11 10H Truss with projector arms at each corner. New style box truss(color silver) with quick release pin assembly. Includes: 4-break away stand alone trusstowers and projector mounting hardware. (1-6 x 6 plate, 1-6 to 9 Adjustable extensioncolumn and 1-projector mount for each tower) (1) Extra truss to expand system out to 25 x 25.(1) Extra truss to expand system out to 30 x 30.(1) 84 x 46 x 58H ATA-300 Truss shipping case. Case is constructed with laminate around treated plywood acceptable for international travel. Corners and lips are reinforced with metal caps. Lid fits over bottom with tongue and grove channel.(1) 84 x 30 x 30H ATA-300 shipping case for truss towers to travel separate from other truss. Case is constructed with laminate around treated plywood acceptable for international travel. Corners and lips are reinforced with metal caps. Lid fits over bottom with tongue and grove channel.(1) Canopy (20 x 20 black) Canopy attaches direct to the truss without the use of aframe. (4) 8 Panel displays with 2-headers to wrap around truss and projectors. Includes case.(Barrier to keep people from coming in contact with the truss)(1) lbs 43 X 35 x 34H ATA-300 Computer Case. Case is constructed with 3/8 #1 gradelaminated plywood. Hinged lid for top loading. (1) lbs 67 X 37 x 36H ATA-300 Projector Case. Case is constructed with 3/8 #1 gradelaminated plywood. Hinged lid for top loading. (1) 74 x 74 x 48H ATA-300 Sphere shipping case. Case is constructed with laminatearound treated plywood acceptable for international travel. Corners and lips are reinforced with metal caps. Lid fits over bottom with tongue and grove channel. (1) 34 x 34 x40 ATA-300 Accessory shipping case. Case is constructed with laminate around treated plywood acceptable for international travel. Corners and lips are reinforced with metal caps. Lid fits over bottom with tongue and grove channel.(1) 68 Carbon fiber sphere. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities statement to perform the effortin writing to the identified point of contact not later than 2:30 p.m. local time onMarch 24, 2011. Such statements will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determiningwhether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination bythe Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis,based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit a statement which shall be considered by the agency.NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
