- Description
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Gaithersburg, MD, has a requirement for the following: (1) Provide & deliver Liquid Nitrogen on an as needed basis as well as on a scheduled delivery basis; (2) Rental of Liquid Nitrogen Tanks; (3) Installation, start-up, and maintenance of Rented Tanks; (4) Rental, Installation, Maintenance & Monitoring of Telemetry Units; and (5) Customer Service. Two (2) facilities shall be serviced by the contract: (1) National Institute of Standards & Technology - Gaithersburg, MD Campus, and (2) National Institute of Standards & Technology, Hollings Marine Laboratory, Charleston, SC. The period of performance shall be for a base period of one year with four (4) one year option periods. This procurement shall be competed using negotiated procedures under the authority of FAR Part 15 Contracting by Negotiation. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small business. The NAICS code for this requirement is 325998 with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. The non-manufacturer rule is waived for this requirement. The competitive Request for Proposal (RFP), specifications, RFP amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at HTTP://WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV under RFP number SB1341-11-RP-0022. The RFP is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about March 25, 2011, and will only be available via the Internet at the above web site. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the web site. Interested parties must respond to the RFP in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. No written solicitation document is available, telephone requests shall not be honored, and no bidders list shall be maintained.
