- Military Sealift Fleet Support Command (MSFSC), Norfolk, VA hereby gives notice of intent to award a sole source contract to WARTSILA DEFENSE, Inc., 3617 KOPPENS WAY CHESAPEAKE, VA under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(b) (i), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This requirement is for an inspection and renewal of the Rudder Overhaul Kit & Seal. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any responses to this notice of contract action shall be submitted no later than 8:00 a.m. 14 March 2011 and may be emailed to Dana Legette, at email dana.legette@navy.mil
