Description
*** 10 March 2011 *** Additional questions and responses about the purchase description. Question: Section 4.10 indicates only Insulated 5-way binding posts. As this is mostly an AC type system, BNC connections are the primary means of connection. Response: 4.10 just says that it is desirable to have these type of connections. BNC connections are fine. Question: Section 5.6 states that the software should have progress indicators and a pause and resume function. Since this is a single test type instrument, there is no sequencing of programs or tests. The measurement can be stopped and started easily using the start/stop button. In the context of this PD these features would not be relevant. Response: 5.6 assumes that measurements will take a long period of time and if that is the case, we would like to have the capability to pause and start the tests. Question: The 110KV power source will require 220VAC 60 Hz and not 120V. can you add this power? Response: Paragraph 4.3 of the PD indicates that the contractor needs to identify any special power requirements in their offer so that the AFPSL can have Boeing install them before the system arrives. So yes, if they require 220VAC 60Hz will have it installed by the time the system is delivered. They just need to identify it in their response to the PD.
