- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Sole Source Intent. The United States Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Center Yuma, Yuma Proving Ground (YPG), Arizona, intends to negotiate a three-month extension with three one-month options to a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Sunstate Environmental located at P.O. Box 5450, Yuma AZ 8536-5450. Sunstate Environment currently provides maintenance and repair of all Wastewater Treatment Facilities for the U.S. Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM) located at the U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), AZ. These non-personal services include operations, maintenance and repair of all Wastewater Treatment Facilities and Components, including Emergency Repairs. The current contract expires on 31 March 2011 and will be extended for a period of three months and three one-month options through 30 September 2011. The extension is necessary to ensure continuance of services while allowing adequate time to competitively award a follow-on contract. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS AND NO SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide the required services, interested parties may submit a capability statement or white paper which may be used for market research purposes for the follow-on acquisition.
