- Description
- The Charles George VAMC, Asheville, NC is pre-soliciting qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business to completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures and furnish labor and materials to perform work for the installation of new LED lighting as required by drawings and specifications. Work includes changing the existing exterior lighting fixtures listed in the solicitation drawings and specifications to the specified LED fixtures. Contractor shall furnish all necessary mounting hardware and brackets to make a complete and usable replacement of the fixtures listed in the documents. Disciplines will be general construction and electrical at the VAMC, Asheville, NC. The NACIS code for this procurement is 238210 with a small business size standard of $14M. All work shall be completed within 210 calendar days after date of receipt of notice to proceed. This includes final inspection and clean-up. The magnitude of this construction is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Expect the solicitation to be posted with uploaded drawings and specification on/or about 28 March 2011. No hard copies will provided. Pre-Bid/Walk through is scheduled for 7 April 2011 at 10:00am, only one will be offered at the same time to all interested parties and will be at Bldg 15, 3rd floor, Room 330, Engineering Conference Room. Interested parties are strongly encouraged to attend the Pre-Bid Walk through. No private or additional walk through will be conducted. Bid opening will be on/or about 28 April 2011 and the deadline for receipt of questions is 10 days prior (18 April 2011). All questions must be submitted in writing via email or fax. No phone calls will be accepted. Questions received after 18 April 2011 may not be entertained by the Government. Firms MUST be registered at Central Contractor Registry (CCR) and at Vet Biz and Online Representations and Certifications must be completed by each bidder prior to the bid opening.
