- THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION URPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE PRIME CONTRACTOR UNDER THE RECOVERY, TOWER CHEMICAL SITE CONTRACT NO. EP-S4-09-02. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Region 4 issued this Contract for oversight of soil remediation at the Tower Chemical Site, located in Lake County, Florida. This requirement is under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Due to changes in site conditions as a result of the discovery of unknown drums and additional contaminated soil at the Tower Chemical Site, EPA Region 4 requires additional oversight of the deeper excavation and handling of contaminated soil. Since this work is within the general scope of the original remedial action contract, it would be cost prohibitive to compete this oversight requirement. Therefore it is in the best interest of the Government to allow the current prime contractor to continue oversight operations. This task order will be modified to allow the current contractor to continue oversight activities at the site.
