- Special Notice NAICS Code: 325188, All Other Basic Inorganic Chemical Manufacturing FSC 6810 Synopsis: The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Center - Fort Knox intends to issue a sole source Five month extension of contract W9124D-10-D-0016 in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Contractor to supply 1) Chlorine Gas which shall be delivered in contractor-owned one (1) ton cylinders. In accordance with EPA requirements, contractor shall limit delivery of chlorine gas to a maximum of 1,000 pounds per cylinder. Contractor shall not fill each one ton cylinder beyond the maximum amount of 1,000 pounds per cylinder. 2)Also, contractor shall pickup and return chlorine gas in 150 pound contractor-owned cylinders. 3) Aluminum Sulfate, shall be liquid aluminum, bulk form, for treatment of drinking water in accordance with American Water Works Association (AWWA), Standard AWWA B403 dated 1984. Product shall be National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) approved. Delivery of this product shall be in 38,500 lb. shipments. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS and a solicitation will not be issued. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
