- This contract is for the reclamation of the MICHAEL GAYHEART LANDSLIDE emergency project located in Ary, Perry County, KY. The anticipated abatement project consists of but not limited to: Mobilization and demobilization of contractors men, equipment, materials, and placing project sign and toilet facilities at the project site. Clearing, grubbing, and/or stripping of vegetation necessary to perform the work specified; implementing sediment control during the project; temporarily protecting and relocating and replacing encumbering utilities, including a septic discharge line and a water line. Excavating unstable material; construction and placing a terra-mesh style gabion wall; re-compacting suitable excavated soils; placement of filter fabric; construction of a No. 2 stone blanket drain; removal of unstable material; placing a 20 foot section of 8-inch drain pipe; restoration of disturbed access road, equipment parking areas, and material storage areas; restoring vegetation to disturbed area; removal and replacement of existing chain link fence; repair concrete sidewalk and/or driveway damaged during work as determined necessary by the COR.The estimated cost range is $40,000.00 to $55,000.00. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition in 237990. The small business size standard is $33.5M. A PREBID CONFERENCE WILL BE CONDUCTED ON 03/15/11 @ 11:00 AM. Perspective contractors are to meet at the Pigeon Roost Tobacco Discount parking lot located along Rt. 80 adjacent to the turn off to Pigeon Roost Road (Rt. 3351), near Ary, Perry County, KY. Take Hwy 80 from intersection with Rt. 23 for about 37 miles. Just before turn off for Pigeon Roost Road you will see the Tobacco Discount store on the right. Bids will be opened on March 22, 2011 @ 3:00 PM. An original hard copy of the completed and signed IFB along with completed Section K Reps and Certs and AML Contractor Information Form are due at the depository located at the OSM office, 1405 Greenup Avenue, Box 5, Ashland, KY 41101, on March 22, 2011 no later than 3:00 PM. Electronic and/or faxed bids will not be accepted. Contractors doing business with the Government are required to have a DUNs number, register in the Central Contractor Registration at ccr.gov data base and complete on line representations and certifications at orca.bpn.gov.
