Description
The Asbestos and Petroleum Section in the Naval Facility Engineering Command Southeast (NAVFAC-SE) is conducting market research and invites you to present your products and services to the design engineers and scientists in our group at Naval Air Station Jacksonville in Jacksonville, Florida. ALL INTERESTED PARTIES PLEASE CONTACT MR. RICHARD REISS VIA EMAIL AT RICHARD.REISS@NAVY.MIL BY 7 APRIL 2011 TO SCHEDULE A PRESENTATION. AUDIENCE The Asbestos and Petroleum Section in NAVFAC-SE provides environmental engineering services to naval installations located in our area of responsibility (AOR) which includes Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Puerto Rico, Bahamas and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Our services include, among other things, tank system design, environmental compliance assistance, and preparation of SPCC Plans, FRPs, and Oil and Hazardous Substance Spill Contingency Plans. "ITEMS OF INTEREST" TO NAVFAC-SE Our group is interested in field-proven aboveground storage tank and underground storage tank system components available for sale by your company and services provided by your company related to AST and UST systems. Particular "Items of Interest" listed below in order of interest (from most to least) include: 1. Products included in Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Approved Storage Tank System Equipment list dated 10 Aug 2010 or other state/local-approved lists applicable to our AOR, 2. Products used to retrofit existing single-wall steel pipe to provide secondary containment, 3. Products used to retrofit existing double-wall ASTs to provide overfill protection, 4. Overfill prevention products including overfill alarms, automatic flow restrictors and flow shutoff devices, 5. Dual function vents (e.g., PV/overfill alarm vents), 6. Spill containment products, 7. Appurtenances and contractor services for annual tank inspection and integrity testing, 8. Level gauges, 9. Paint/coating systems, 10. Fuel dispensing systems and components, and 11. Tanks Please bring several hard copies of your product catalog and price list for distribution to attendees. The attendees are also interested in new or anticipated AST/UST system-related state regulations in our AOR. AGENDA To efficiently use your limited time we recommended you follow the agenda below: 13:00 Introduction (your role in the company, company history, general products/services provided by your company, and summary of current/recent products/services provided to Department of Defense) 13:10 Specific products/services of interest (preferably provide details on the "Items of Interest" listed above in order of interest to NAVFAC-SE) 13:40 Questions 14:00 Presentation Complete No later than one week prior to the presentation, please state which of the "Items of Interest" you intend to present to the group.
