- T H I S I S A P R E S O L I C I T A T I O N N O T I C E O N L Y Battelle Memorial Institute, Pacific Northwest Division operates the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) through a prime contract with the U.S. Department of Energy in Richland, Washington. Battelle currently employs approximately 4900 staff members. Battelle's objective is to contract for a comprehensive Occupational Health and Medical (OH&M) program (with the possibility of a Clinic and Pharmacy as well) per Title 10 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 851 (10 CFR 851) titled "Worker Safety and Health Program". As a federal prime contractor, Battelle also complies with the Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988 which is regulated for DOE sites through 10 CFR 707 and is titled "Workplace Substance Abuse Program at DOE Sites". Battelle's overall objective for the OH&M program is to assure a workforce that is physically and mentally able to accomplish the duties assigned in a safe and healthful manner.
