- The NAVFAC Midlant Utilities Acquisition Dept is hosting a Utilities/Energy Industry Day at the Greenwich Road Holiday Inn in Virginia Beach on Thursday, March 17 at 9am. We anticipate this will last a few hours in an open forum discussion setting. This will be an opportunity for contractors and Navy personnel to network and share ideas. A representative from the Department of Energy's Federal Energy Management Program (http://www1.eere.energy.gov/femp/) will attend and give a presentation on the benefits of their business model which the Acquisition Dept is in the process of implementing in an effort to increase efficiency and streamline our programs. Suggestions for topics of discussion are also welcome. Kindly respond if you will be attending. Space may be limited so please keep this in mind when inviting your coworkers. We may have future events for more specific topics of interest. All suggestions are welcome to make this a worthwhile event for everyone.
