- Description
- The US Forest Service on the Sumter National Forests has a requirement to construct a two acre pond in the Compartment 180 dove field in Abbeville county on the Long Cane Ranger District. The pond construction will consist of construction of the pond dam by moving dirt from the pond basin area, installation of the water level siphon system, seeding the mixture of non native and native grasses and mulching all disturbed sites around the construction site. The successful offeror will also be responsible for removing the associated existing hedge row left on the field during intial clearing and seeding the disturbed area as described above. The project is located on the Long Cane Ranger District which is approximately 60 miles southwest of Columbia, South Carolina. The Performance Period for this project is 60 calendar days. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. A bid bond will not be required. The successful offeror will be required to provide a payment bond within 15 calendar days of award. The solicitation of this project will be available on this site on or about 18 Mar 2011.
