Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE (not a pre-solicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5) to determine the capability of potential sources and the availability of commercial sources pursuant to FAR Part 10. This notice is issued by the Coast Guard Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic, Norfolk, VA to identify sources capable of providing organizational level maintenance, operation and parts support for the Aviation Fuel Facility, Aircraft Wash/Rinse equipment, Aviation Refueling/Defueling Vehicles and Common/Peculiar Type Aviation Ground Support Equipment (GSE) for the H-65, C-130, HU-25, H-60, HC-144 and any other aircraft type that may be assigned, or temporarily assigned to Coast Guard Air Station (CGAS) Borinquen, PR. During the term of this contract, the contractor may also be required to support assigned GSE and perform services at designated sites, when facilities and or parts are not available at the primary work site, when GSE is being forwarded for expeditious repair and return, or as operational requirements dictate. Contractor staff employed full time shall work 40 hours a week, 80 hours every two weeks. The contractor shall work 8 hours a day Monday through Friday. The Contract period will be for a base plus four option years, not to exceed 60 months, if exercised by the Government, beginning on or about 1 August 2011. A solicitation will be issued shortly and will be synopsized on the Fed Biz Ops Electronic Posting System at www.fbo.gov. When issued, the solicitation will appear on the MLCLANT Intranet Web site http://www.uscg.mil/mlclant/fdiv/fdiv.html. It is the potential offer's responsibility to monitor these avenues for release of any future solicitation or synopsis. The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, required equipment, supplies and services necessary to perform the service requirement at Coast Guard Air Station Borinquen, PR location, consisting of one (1) Aircraft Mechanic I, Worker, and three (3) Aircraft Servicers. The applicable NAICS Code is 488119 - Airports, civil, operation and maintenance. The government reserves the right to consider a small business, 8(a) or any other set aside arrangement as deemed appropriated for this procurement.
