- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is a small business set aside since it has been determined that a small business can provide the necessary requirements. The solicitation number is FM442703430160; this solicitation is a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-49 effective 24 Jan 2011; Defense DCN 20110202 effective 02 Feb 2011, and AFAC 2011-0214 effective 14 February 2011. This acquisition is a small business set aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333314. The business size standard is 500 employees. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is 6650. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 3827. Travis AFB has a requirement for a Microscope CLIN 0001 - Nikon 50i Ergonomic Microscope Nikon 50i Ergonomic Microscope with Phase and Gout configuration with the capability to attach to a high-resolution camera. The microscope has a high-resolution color digital camera and controller. The Gout configuration will determine the presence of crystals in body fluids while the Phase configuration will enhance visually stained and unstained cells for better identification.
