- THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR A PROPOSAL, A SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. The National Institutes of Health, National Eye Institute, intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a noncompetitive basis to Illumina, Inc at 9885 Towne Centre Drive, San Diego, CA 92121 to provide a one year preventative comprehensive maintenance support on all service parts and labor for existing equipment ( Genome Analyzer/Cluster Station) in operation. The sole source determination is based on the equipment needing maintenance support in order for the equipment to continue its operations. This is the only server that Illumina supports and operates. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 811219 and the Size Standard is $19.0M. This acquisition is being conducted under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and is exempt from the requirement under FAR Part 6, Competition Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations or proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest to this synopsis for consideration in any future requirements. The determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely with the discretion of the Government.
