- 1.Solicitation FA8118-11-R-0021 will be issued on orabout: 21 March 2011 and closes 20 April 2011 for theRemanufacture/Overhaul of the B-52 Wing Flap Power Drive Unit. Uponissuance of the solicitation, all responsible sources may submit a bid,proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. This isa COMPETITIVE Solicitation, however Qualification Requirements apply. AFirm Fixed Price Requirements type contract is contemplated. Thisnotice of intent does not in itself represent the issuing of a formalrequest for proposal and is not intended to be taken as such. Therequirements set forth in this notice are defined per PR FD2030-11-35928as follows: 2.This is a Remanufacture/Overhaul requirement. The contractorshall provide all the necessary materials, labor and equipment requiredto complete disassembly, cleaning, parts inspections, reassembly,testing and finishing actions required to return the items to a like newcondition. 3.The list of applicable CLIN's: CLIN 0001: NSN:1680-00-605-9700FG; Input PN: 5-48705-53 or 5-48705-54; Output PN:5-48705-54; NOUN: POWER DRIVE UNIT CLIN 0002: OVER AND ABOVE (TO BENEGOTIATED); CLIN 0003: DATA & REPORTING (NOT SEPARATELY PRICED) 4.Best Estimated Quantity: CLIN 0001: Basic Year - 45 each;Option Year I - 35 each; and Option Year II - 35 each. 5.Applicable to: B-52 6.Destination: TBD 7.Est Required Delivery: CLIN 0001: 5 each within 60 days ARO andreparable assets, followed by 5 each every 30 days until order iscomplete. 8.RMC: R1 9.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS APPLY. Award will be based on meeting ourrequirements and cannot be delayed pending qualifications of additionalsources. TheGovernment does not intend to hold discussion but may hold discussion ifit is deemed necessary. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concernsfrom offerors or potential offerors during the proposal developmentphase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not todiminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer,but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, andrecommendations to the appropriate government personnel. Whenrequested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as tosource of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in theevaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. DO NOT CALLTHIS NUMBER FOR SOLICITATION REQUESTS Duration of Contract Period: BASIC YEAR WITH TWO OPTION YEARS Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. IAW FAR 5.207(c)(15)(i), All responsible sources may submit a bid,proposal, or quotation which will be considered by the agency Based upon market research, the Government is not using policiescontained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in itssolicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interestedparties may identify to the contracting officer their interest andcapability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercialitem within 15 days of this notice.
