- Description
- The Federal Highway Administration intends to award a sole source purchase order to the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) for the Co-Sponsorship Transportation Innovation Conference. NAS in conjunction with the Transportation Research Board (TRB) shall provide leadership in transportation innovation, research, exchange and conduct interdisciplinary and multimodal projects. NAS shall provide experiences in transportation as it relates to data-driven decision making. Discussions will be held for upcoming new technologies in the transportation industries during the conference of which NAS has gathered experience and historical facilitators to conduct each session. Because NAS will be coordinating, organizing, providing their own facilitators, and covering logistics for their conference they are the only source for the co-sponsorship. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is March 18, 2011.
