- Description
- The United States Air Force, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio 45433-5309 is preparing to solicit for a firm-fixed price contract for a Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) System on or about 21 March 2010. This requirement is to procure an MBE System for AFRL to grow high quality crystalline materials for electronic and optical materials research projects. The system will be capable of growing crystals suitable for processing into high speed transistors for RF communications, a wide variety of laser wavelengths, and optoelectronics detectors. Warranty on the system shall be at a minimum one year and will commence upon successful completion, delivery, installation, training, and demonstration of all required specifications, and final acceptance by the Government. There is an option included to potentially add a second MBE without effusion sources and their power supplies. The Department of Defense (DoD) has determined the Central Contractor Registration System (CCR) to be the single DoD registration point for contractors who conduct business or who are interested in conducting business with the DoD.
