- The US Army, Army Contracting Command Picatinny, Soldier Weapons Center (ACC-PICA-SW) on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager, Soldier Weapons (PM-SW) intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with Barrett Firearms Manufacturing Inc (BFMI), 5926 Miller Lane, Christiana, TN 37037 for the acquisition of M 107 Long Range Sniper Rifle (M 107 LRSR), NSN 1005-01-469-2133. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii) supplies may be deemed to be available only from the original source in the case of a follow-on contract for the continued development or production of a major weapon system or highly specialized equipment when it is likely that award to any other source would result in (A) Substantial duplication of cost to the Government that will not be recovered through competition FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A) is deemed applicable because there is currently only one qualified source in accordance with the M107 LRSR qualification requirements. The anticipated contract requirement will be a firm fixed price (FFP) indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ). The minimum estimated dollar amount of this contract will be $1,000,000.00. This notice is not a solicitation and does not obligate the government to issue a Solicitation, nor will the government be liable for any costs involved for submission of information in response to this notice.
