- The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotitate with only one source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received not later than 2:00 PM, 04 March 2011 will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, intends to negotiate with Maryland Economic Development Corporation d/b/a Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Resort, Cambridge, MD for the Baltimore District Construction Divisions' Area Engineer/Senior Construction Manager Conference to be held 30 March 2011 through 01 April 2011 (totaling 3 days and 2 nights). The host facility is to provide overnight stay (lodging) and all meals within required JTR per diem rates and associated conference rooms, including AV equipment, conference activities, etc. to accomodate 80-100 persons attending and amenities allowing for the success of the conference. The facility must be located within no more than a 50 mile radious outside Baltimore, Maryland to accomodate the expected attendees.
