- Combined Synopsis/Solicitation_OPM20-11-Q-0002 OPM is seeking a qualified venue to conduct the Veterans Employment Symposium scheduled for July 26-28, 2011. The Symposium will be a key component in ensuring that the Veterans Employment Program Managers and Staff know the policies, programs, and flexibilities available to them in recruiting and employing veterans. The primary goal of the Symposium is to provide a learning forum to discuss strategies and issues affecting the employment of veterans. The symposium will consist of a presentation on the current status of veterans' employment in the Federal Government; an information session on special hiring authorities and veterans' preference; outline best practices and special programs in Government for veteran employment.
