- 341st Contracting Squadron, Malmstrom AFB, MT intends to negotiate with Cummins Power Generation, Inc. for the procurement of 157 Diesel Genset: 60Hz-60kW generators IAW FAR Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy the Agency Requirements. In 2009, Air Force Space Command funded the replacement/upgrade of 15 generators in the missile complex and Cummins was selected. This requirement is to maintain a standardized operating system, costs, reliability, parts availability, parts interchangeability and training requirements to provide a greater degree of mission of nuclear vigilance reliability and fiscal conservatism, thereby mitigating duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition utilizing a broad and diverse product manufacturer base. This notice of SYNOPSIS is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made on the basis of quotes or offers received in response to this notice. The NAICS code for this requirement is 335312. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities to meet this requirement by 4 March 2011. Additionally, any response to this notice must show clear, compelling and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. The intent of this notice is for informational purposes only. No reimbursement for any costs connected with providing capability information will be provided.
