- 24 February 2011 SABER Synopsis Hill Air Force Base (AFB), OO-ALC/PKO intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the procurement of a Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requirements (SABER) Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for Hill AFB, Little Mountain, Utah Test and Training Range, Dugway, Carter Creek, and other associated sites located in Utah and Pinedale, Wyoming. The requirements include minor construction, maintenance and repair of facilities and infrastructure of the aforementioned locations. The North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) number for this effort is 236220 and the Small Business Size Standard is $33.5M. It is anticipated that a single solicitation and a firm-fixed price IDIQ contract will be awarded to approximately three (3) contractors as a result of this notice. The Government is soliciting for the award of a Firm-Fixed Price basic contract with a 5 year (CLIN 0001) ordering period and an option to extend the contract a further 6 months (CLIN 0002). The total estimated dollar value of the entire contract is a $65M ceiling, including the six (6) month option. The solicitation will be issued on or about 14 March 2011 with a thirty (30) day proposal period. The Government anticipates a 100% local 8(a) competitive set-aside. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the agency. The solicitation and all subsequent notices and amendments will be posted on the Internet at http://fedbizopps.gov. The Government will not reimburse any interested parties for monies spent to provide a response to the subsequent solicitation notice.
