Description
The Seattle District Corps of Engineers has a phased requirement to demolish two 36,000 barrel storage tanks and construct two 40,000 barrel above ground vertical bulk storage tanks and two 10,000 barrel vertical storage tanks as hydrant system operating tanks. Replacement of suction and fill lines will also be provided under this project. Secondary containment will be constructed for all new tanks. The pumps in the existing pumphouse 1317 will be segregated into operating pumps and bulk pumps. An option is to build a new hydrant pumphouse and to relocate the hydrant system operating pumps in lieu of segregating the existing pumphouse 1317. The magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000 (DFAR 236.204), and the project completion period is estimated at 913 calendar days. The NAICS code for this project is 237120 with a small business size standard of $33.5M. The solicitation will be a One Phase Combined Design-Bid-Build, Best Value Procurement conducted in accordance with procedures outlined in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15. The solicitation will be a Request for Proposals (RFP), and one firm-fixed-price contract will be negotiated as a result.
