- SPECIAL NOTICE THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order for Bookwalter Brackets from Johnson & Johnson Healthcare/Codman, for the James A. Haley VA Hospital, 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., Tampa, FL 33612. These are required for replacing the current brackets in all our surgical sets. This allows the surgeon to reticulate the self retaining retractor into any position during surgery. The brackets have been tested, and are the surgeon's choice. NO SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED. NAICS used for this purchase is 339113 with 500 employees. This acquisition will be accomplished using commercial item procedures in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12 and accordance with FAR 6.302-1, for Other Than Full & Open Competition. This notice is not a request for offers. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
