- This is a notice of intent, not a request for a proposal. A solicitation document will not be issued and proposals will not be requested. The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), Intramural Research Program (IRP) intends to solicit, negotiate and award a purchase order for a maintenance agreement with Thermo Electron North America LLC, 1400 Northpoint Parkway, Suite 50, West Palm Beach, FL 33407. The National Institutes on Drug Abuse (NIDA), Division of Intramural Research in Baltimore, Maryland a one year maintenance agreement on the following equipment: Item 0723920 S/N 03099B LTQ ORBITRAP VELOS with ETDItem VM-11000 S/N LTQ10217 LTQ Linear Quadrupole Ion Trap Mass SpecItem OPTON-97103 ETD FIELD UPGRADE, FROM LTQ XL, STD The acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition FAR 13 and is exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6, Competition Requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Comments to this announcement, referencing synopsis number NIHDA2011185 may be submitted no later than 4:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on March 4, 2011 to NIDA/IRP, Biomedical Research Center, Suite 200, 251 Bayview Boulevard, Room 4A326, Baltimore, MD 21224, ATTN: Carol Lindsay, clindsay@mail.nih.gov
