- ***This Posting is for Information Purposes Only*** In accordance with FAR 6.302-1 ("only one responsible source"), the Government intends to negotiate a modification to an existing contract with The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company using other than full and open competition. This contract action is for the procurement and installation of 504 new pieces of laboratory equipment that will replace existing equipment that has, or will have, reached the end of its useful life cycle. 215 pieces of this equipment require sole-source procurement. The specific pieces of equipment available only from specific manufacturers have been determined critical to the mission of the Department of Research Operations.
