- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number F1U3C41032AL01 is hereby issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-48, 31 January 2011. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: CLIN 0001: Quantity 5 months Request 4000 gallon water distributor truck for the period of five (5) months beginning 1 May 2011. Water truck will be self loading with pressure discharge, two front, two side, and two rear spray heads. GVW of 56,000, six speed automatic transmission, and a hydraulic driven water pump. The vehicle will have the capacity to top load using a fire hydrant. Vehicle will be a 2007 or newer. Contractor will provide all service and unscheduled maintenance at no additional cost to the government. Request that two copies of the applicable MSDS's be included. Contractor will have 24 hours to complete all repairs or will be required to have a replacement rental of the same size and meet all the same specifications as the original rental within 48 hours of notification of breakdown.
