- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number F1U3C41034AL02 is hereby issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-48, 31 January 2011. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: CLIN 0001: Quantity five (5) months The contract requires the rental of one (1) D-8T bulldozer, or equal, for five (5) months starting 1 May 2011. Rental will be a 2007 Model or newer, have a minimum of 347 horsepower, have a gross vehicle weight between 83,000 and 86,000, be equipped with a variable pitch multi shank ripper and shanks, semi-U blade, differential steering, and a operational heated and air conditioned cab. At the time of delivery contractor will provide a complete extra set of cutting edges for the front dozer push blade, four complete sets of replacement teeth and shank guards for the ripper attachment, five gallons of the engine oil, five gallons of the hydraulic oil, five gallons of the transmission oil, five gallons of the antifreeze and 24 tubes of the grease at no additional cost to the government. Contractor will provide all service and unscheduled maintenance at no additional cost to the government. Requested that two copies of applicable MSDS's be included. Contractor will have 24 hours to complete all repairs or will be required to have a replacement rental of the same size and meet all the same specifications as the original rental within 48 hours of notification of breakdown.
