Description
Notice of Intent to Sole Source Requirement The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Boston Healthcare System, Veterans Integrated Systems Network (VISN) 1 Contracting Activity intends to negotiate a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source for manufacturing/supplier/distributor of the CONQUEST and ATLAS PTA Dilatation Catheters. C.R. Bard is the sole owner of the intellectual property associated with the CONQUEST and ATLAS PTA Dilatation Catheters. The associated NAICS code for this surgical equipment manufacturing is 339112 with a size standard of 500 employees. The vendor: C.R. Bard Peripheral Vascular, Inc. 1415 W. 3rd Street, Tempe, AZ 85281. A firm fixed price contract with four option years is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. This is not a Request for Proposal. However, any other surgical manufacturer that provides sufficient documentation that they manufacturer similar surgical catheters must submit their technical capabilities, to include, technical specifications of a similar product line to the CONQUEST and ATLAS PTA Dilatation Catheters; as well as past performance information specific to this request, price and delivery time upon ordering. This information will be reviewed by the Government's technical representatives for consideration for future requirements. Email statements are required.
