- COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION - POSTED AS SPECIAL NOTICE DUE TO INITIAL POSTING TO FEDCONNECT FAILINGWork will consist of piering to provide support for the home, possible porch removal and replacement, and drilling of angled boreholes. In order to assure the integrity of the home during and after angle drilling operations, a series of push piers shall be installed along the foundation walls closest to the depression. OSM estimates that no fewer than 6 push piers will be required. Installation of piers may first require removal and later re-construction of some, or all, of the affected porch. Each angled borehole shall be nominal HQ-sized and drilled with a tri-cone bit, resulting in a hole suitable for insertion of the borehole camera. OSM estimates that a minimum of 4 exploratory holes will be required, each drilled at an angle no steeper than 45. Total anticipated drilling footage is estimated to be 320 feet. All borehole locations will originate outside the perimeter of the depression. The Contractor is alerted that the mine shaft's style of construction, integrity, and the materials of which the walls were constructed are unknown. Estimated Price Range: $30,000 - $50,000 Payment guarantee only will be required. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition in 237990. The small business size standard is $33.5M. A MANDATORY PREBID CONFERENCE AND BID OPENING IS SCHEDULED FOR 11:00 AM ON FEBRUARY 17, 2011. PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS ARE TO MEET AT THE PROJECT SITE LOCATED IN POTAGE, CAMBRIA COUNTy, PA. REFER TO THE LAST PAGE OF THE SPECIFICATIONS FOR DIRECTIONS TO THE SITE. Bids are due in the depository located at 3 Parkway Center, Pittsburgh, PA 15220 by 2:00 PM on February 24, 2011. Bidders will be required to provide an original hard copy of the completed and signed IFB along with their AML Contractor Information Form. Contractors performing work for the Government are required to have a DUNs number, register in the Central Contractor Registration at ccr.gov data base and complete on line representations and certifications at orca.bpn.gov. Award will not be made to a contractor who has not satisfied these requirements.
