Description

The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System intends to negotiate on a Sole Source basis with Philips Electronics North America/Philips Healthcare, 3000 Minutemen Road, MSO400, Andover, MA 01810-1099, to purchase installation site services for a Philips Intellivue Patient Monitoring System, that is being purchasing off VA FSS Contract V797P-4328A, as a total overall solution. The services are estimated to cost $49,721, and be added to a FSS Order off the above referenced FSS Contract, as an "Open Market incidental item", in accordance with FAR 8.405-6 (f) (6), which requires these Open Market Services to be first publicized (See FAR 5.101(a) (1), since they are over $25,000. It is essential to the government needs for Philips to perform these installation services, in order to not void the Warranty on the equipment being purchased, and so there is no delay with the installation of the equipment. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest; accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contracting Officer no later than 2/14/2011 COB. Responses should be sent to ronald.mazzei@va.gov or faxed to Ronald Mazzei at (412) 822-3783. No telephone responses will be accepted. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 334510 and the small business size standard for this NAICS Code is 500 Employees.
