- This notice is issued solely for informational and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Learning Center (ULC) is tasked to meet the professional development and technical training needs of the USACE and other federal agency employees. This course is will be designed to provide instruction in the tools and techniques for project management as well as preparation for students to complete the Project Management Institute Project Management Professional certification exam to support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Workforce Development Program. This course will provide specific instruction that addresses learning objectives in project management to include project quality, scope, time, cost, human resources, communications, risk procurement, and integration management. Contractor shall present material covered in the Project management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) and review and discuss practice test questions for a comprehensive understanding of the PMP Exam. Contractor must be a Project Management Institute registered education provider (R.E.P.). The above topics may not be all inclusive but a sample representation of what is to be taught and firm requirements are to be issued in the performance work statement. Currently the first session, 11-01 Project Management Professional (PMP Preparation) is scheduled for 6-10 June 2011 in Fort Worth, TX. This acquisition is intended for full and open competition and intended to be set aside for small business concerns. Final classification of the type of set-aside may be dependent upon responses to this source sought notification. A solicitation is scheduled to be released on or about 14 March 2011. Questions and comments from all small business concerns are encouraged via email. Interested parties should submit a brief capabilities statement. The Government will not reimburse the contractor for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice. No hard copy or facsimile submissions will be accepted.
