Description
The Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy, Inc. (AURA), on behalf of the National Solar Observatory, is soliciting proposals for the fabrication and delivery of a Fast Tip-Tilt Module (FTTM) with mount and controller for the Advanced Technology Solar Telescope (ATST). The FTTM will hold and operate a Silicon Carbide (SiC) Mirror (see AoO N019200). AURA and the ATST Project are constructing this 4-meter solar telescope under a cooperative agreement with the National Science Foundation. The selected contractor(s) shall design, fabricate, and provide the FTTM. The successful vendor will be expected to work closely with the vendor of the SiC mirror to ensure a compatible system.
