- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. Note: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Rhode Island is NOT accepting quotes or proposals via submission through NECO. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Newport, R.I. has a requirement to repair and/or fabricate Bearing Cartridge Bearing Assemblies and Components. The resultant contract will be a five year, Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity Type contract with the following CLIN structure. CLIN 0001 - Repair AFT Thrust Bearing Assembly in accordance with Drawing Number 6407178. This CLIN is considered SUBSAFE. Estimated Quantity is 2 each per year. CLIN 0002 - Repair Forward Thrust Bearing Assembly in accordance with Drawing Number 6407179. Estimated Quantity is 2 each per year. CLIN 0003 - Fabrication of AFT Thrust Bearing Assembly in accordance with Drawing 6407178. This CLIN is considered SUBSAFE. Estimated Quantity is 2 each per year. CLIN 0004 - Fabrication of Forward Thrust Bearing Assembly in accordance with Drawing Number 6407179. Estimated Quantity is 2 each per year. CLIN 0005 - Fabrication of Radial Bearing in accordance with Drawing Number 6407176. Estimated Quantity is 4 in the first year and 2 each per year thereafter. The Solicitation is a 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS is 332112; the size standard is 500 employees. Detailed procurement specifications, drawing requirements, quality assurance requirements and Best Value evaluation factors will be released upon issue of the RFP #N66604-11-R-0746, which is anticipated on or about 25-Feb-2011. Please note that the drawings associated with this procurement will only be available by requesting a compact disc from the negotiator (Neil Santos, 401-832-4827, e-mail: neil.santos@navy.mil) after release of the Solicitation. Only those vendors who have an active Joint Certification Program (JCP) registration will be provided the compact disc. Please visit http://www/dlis.dla.mil/jcp/ for further details on the program and registration. The solicitation will include instructions on requesting the compact disc. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov) in order to be eligible for award.
