- This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis/RFI. The Government is neither negotiating nor calling for offers at this time. No solicitation is being issued at this time; while a formal solicitation may be issued at a later date, this notice does not commit the government to ultimately award a contract. This announcement is an expression of interest only and does not commit the Government to pay for any response or preparation cost. The Government does not intend to make an award on the basis of this sources sought synopsis. This information will be reviewed and will be used to develop the acquisition strategy and possibly a Request for Quotation. Market Research is being conducted by the 6th Contracting Squadron at MacDill Air Force Base to seek qualified contractors with the skills, knowledge, and resources required provide the following: Star Support Advanced Annual Maintenance Plan (12 months), Part Number ASP-2620, to provide coverage for the system hardware and software maintenance services for 18 each PacStar 4100 Initial Entry Packages. Service to include 24/7 toll free phone support, Software Maintenance, Hardware/Firmware Maintenance, and E-mail support. Warranty is extended during this period. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities, and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:00 PM EST on 24 February 2011. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. Sources shall include in their information, a detailed capabilities statement stating their experience in providing the same or similar items described in this notice, a point of contact with phone and e-mail information, business status (Socio-Economic Factors: 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business) and a positive statement of interest to submit a proposal. This request for information is not a commercial solicitation and the Government will not pay for any information submitted, or for any costs associated with providing the information.
