- Description
- This is a Sources Sought market research for the acquisition of high performance fixed wing aircraft to support developmental and operational testing and training requirements. The United States Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC), Alexandria, Virginia, and the Army's Fixed Wing Product Management Office, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, anticipate a requirement for commercially available high performance fixed wing aircraft. The awarded contract will be for four new fixed wing aircraft and qualified pilot upgrade certification training to replace ATEC's current T-34C aircraft capability. The replacement aircraft shall be capable of the following performance requirements: Bubble type canopy, Ejection Seat, Fully Aerobatic, Maintain cruise speed greater than 300 knots, Maintain Altitude greater than 30,000 feet Mean Sea Level, Low Stall Speed (~80 knots), Pressurized Cockpit, Single Engine with retractable landing gear, and an Anti-G System. The aircraft must accommodate 2 pilots, tandem seating and equipment. All responses to this notice shall be submitted to PEO Aviation, Fixed Wing Product Management Office, ATTN: SFAE-AV-AS-FW/Carol Matthews, carol.h.matthews@us.army.mil, Building 5309, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898. Your responses are required by COB 18 February 2011. This is market research and is not a request for quote or proposals. Nothing shall be construed herein or through this research process to commit or obligate the Government to further action, as a result of this research.
