- Description
- US Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration, UpperGreat PlainsRegion (Western) intends to negotiate with and award a contract under theauthority of FAR 13.501(a) on a sole source basis with General Electric forthepurchase and installation of a load tap changer. Requirement is for theloadtap changer, all parts, equipment and labor for the installation of theloadtap changer. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 335999 andtheapplicable size standard is 500 employees. This notice is not a requestforquotes; however, interested parties may provide evidence of theircapability toaccomodate this requirement by e-mailing the Contracting Officer atkostel@wapa.gov no later than COB February 15, 2011. Any informationreceivedwill be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not toconduct a competitive procurement. The Draft justification is attached.Thisnotice in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. Westernisnot responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this Notice.
