- The Indian Health Service (IHS) is soliciting proposals from interested End Stage Renal Disease/Outpatient Hemodialysis facilities located in Arizona, California, New Mexico, Nevada and Utah to provide all necessary end stage renal disease services (which include but are not limited to: Outpatient Hemodialysis and/or Periotoneal Dialysis - Continuous Ambulatory Periotoneal Dialysis (CAPD), Continuous Cycling Periotoneal Dialysis (CCPD) and Home Dialysis Training to IHS Contract Health Service eligible patients referred by the IHS Area Offices of Phoenix, Window Rock and Tucson, Arizona; including Albuquerque, New Mexico. Contract awards will be made to those dialysis facilities who agree to accept as payment in full, reimbursement at rates no higher than the prevailing Medicare allowable rates (including deductibles and co-payment); this is in accordance with the IHS Payment Policy entitled 'Reimbursement Rates for Health Care Services Authorized under the Indian Health Service Contract Regulations', published in the Federal Register on June 30, 1986. Multiple awards will be made for a twelve month period and shall include 4 one-year renewal options. RFP11-5 will be available on February 14, 2011 and may be obtained by 'written request' to the above address. Only 'written requests' will be honored. This is an open and continuous solicitation and proposals will be accepted and negotiations conducted through February 13, 2012, 4:30 PM local time.
