Description
The James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Mountain Home, Tennessee has a requirement for a contractor to provide Design-Build services to renovate approximately 12,500 square feet of existing space on the second floor of Building #160 into multipurpose outpatient exam rooms, administrative office space, rest rooms and other patient care related space functions in accordance with VA Design and Space Planning Criteria and VA Master Specifications. The Design-Build technical design team shall construction activities, the design-build team shall receive written approval (signed construction drawings) from the Medical Center Director and Chief of Staff. Work includes but is not limited to the demolition of existing walls and doors, floor finishes, wall finishes, casework, suspended acoustical ceiling systems, mechanical HVAC, electrical, lighting and plumbing systems, data and communications systems; modifications to existing mechanical HVAC, electrical, lighting, plumbing, fire protection sprinkler and alarm systems; miscellaneous improvements and modifications as required to provide complete and functional exam and administrative space for use in implementation of the Primary Care Medical Home Model initiative. Existing walls will be modified, for patient privacy, to extend to deck above. Data/comm. Room (P229) shall be extended to provide more room for upgrades. The project design shall be in compliance with applicable standards and codes described in VA Program Guides and design materials. The anticipated cost range for this project is between $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. NAICS code 236220 is applicable to this solicitation. The business size standard is $33.5M.
