Procurement Description: ARRA FUNDED: Stainless Steel Piping and Fittings Statement of Work: The Contractor shall provide the following materials: •1. Molten Salt Piping (Sizes 2-inches to 6-inches): Schedule 80XS, stainless steel, ASTM A312, TP347, P-No.8, Group 1, (seamless), with butt-welded joints (NO EXCEPTIONS). •a. Material: 18Cr - 10Ni - Cb. •b. All piping and fittings including weld fill material must have a carbon content 0.04% or higher per ASME B31.3, Appendix A Tables and notes. •c. Pipe Wall Thickness per ASME B36.19M - 1985: •1) Pipe nominal 6-inch diameter: 0.432" •2) Pipe nominal 4-inch diameter: 0.337" •3) Pipe nominal 2-inch diameter: 0.218" Approximate quantities: •1) 6-inch diameter: 1000-1500 feet •2) 4-inch diameter: 30-60 feet •3) 2-inch diameter: 20-40 feet •2. Vacuum Relief Piping (Size 1-inch): Schedule 8 0, stainless steel, ASTM A312, TP347, P-No. 8, (seamless), with butt-welded joints. •a. All piping and fittings including weld fill material must have a carbon content 0.04% or higher per ASME B31.3, Appendix A Tables and notes. •b. Pipe Wall Thickness per ASME B36.19M - 1985: •1) Pipe nominal 1-inch diameter: 0.179" Approximate quantity: 1) 1-inch diameter: 40-80 feet •3. Fittings (Size 1-inch to 6-inches; including, but not limited to long radius 90 degree elbows, tees, and eccentric reducers): •a. All Molten Salt pipe fittings shall meet the same performance requirements for pipe material. All fittings shall be 347 stainless steel, schedule 80 suitable for a butt-weld. •b. Seamless butt-welded fittings: ASTM A403 and ASME B16.9, equal in thickness to meet pipe pressure ratings, Class 600. Ends machined for butt welds. <h5 style="TEXT-INDENT: 0in; MARGIN-LEFT: 1.1in; mso-list: none; tab-stops:.85in"> •c. Flanged joints, threaded joints, mitered bends, and concentric reducers are not acceptable. Approximate Quantities: •1) 6-inch diameter: 50-70 fittings •2) 4-inch diameter: 2-4 fittings •3) 1-inch diameter: 4-8 fittings Mandatory Requirements: The Contractor MUST meet the following mandatory requirements. •1. Schedule - All material must be delivered to Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM no later than June 30, 2011. •2. All products shall be manufactured at the same manufacturing facility. •3. All products are subject to FAR 52.225-21 and FAR 52.225-9. Mandatory Requirements: The Contractor MUST meet the following mandatory requirements. •1. Schedule - All material must be delivered to Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM no later than June 30, 2011. •2. All products shall be manufactured at the same manufacturing facility. •3. All products are subject to FAR 52.225-21 and FAR 52.225-9.
