- The Federal Correctional Institution, Waseca, Minnesota will be issuing a solicitation to obtain Education Services in the field of "Culinary Arts". The contractor shall make available, on a non-discriminatory basis, education services consistent with the requirements of the solicitation, the rules and procedures of the Federal Correctional Institution, and all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations in effect during the term of this contract. The manner and method in performing the tasks outlined in the statement of work are the sole responsibility and within the sole discretion of the contractor provided that the contractor shall perform in accordance with accepted professional standards and methods and the guidelines referenced above. Contractor shall provide certificates in the field of "Culinary Arts". Class hours will be in accordance with the following: 5 days per week (Monday - Friday), excluding Federal holidays, for a total of no more than 37.5 hrs. per week. The Supervisor Of Education will deterine specific times which will meet the needs of the institution. The period of performance shall be from the date of award through twelve months. Award is anticipated to be after March 4, 2011 based on the availabliity of funds. The solicitation will be available on or after February 11, 2011 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Faith-based and community-based organizations have the right to submit offers/bids equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
