- This requirement is for new spares buy of the Hatchmount Antenna, NSN 5985-01-375-8376SO, P/N 7-7PIN437 (Manufacturer CAGE: 63563) used for Satellite Communications (SATCOM) on Special Operation Forces/Personal Recovery (SOF/PR) AC-130U, MC-130H/P and the Hatchmount Antenna, NSN 5985-01-383-6737SO, P/N 16-49 (Manufacturer CAGE: 63563) used to provide Global Position System (GPS) capability, as well as securing satellite communications of highly sensitive and often encrypted classified information on the AC-130H, MC-130E/H/P aircraft. Item Description for NSN 5985-01-375-8376SO, P/N 7-7PIN437: Dimensions: 6.3" (L) X 3.29" (W) X 3.05" (H). Weight: 2.5 lbs. Predominant Material of Manufacture/Form/Fit/Function: Logic Converter Unit encased and external power source. Item Description for NSN 5985-01-383-6737SO, P/N 16-49: Dimensions: 10" (L) X 10" (W) X 8" (H). Weight: 12 lbs. Predominant Material of Manufacture/Form/Fit/Function: Mallord material with connectors with base. The period of performance for this effort will be a 12-month basic period with one, 1-yr within basic year option, and two, 1-yr/annual out-year option periods, for a total maximum performance of 36 months. The anticipated delivery schedule for both NSNs is for delivery to begin in August of 2011 at a quantity of 3EA per month until completion. NSN 5985-01-383-6737SO, initial/base quantity of 7EA with all three option periods having a quantity range of 1EA-10EA. NSN 5985-01-375-8376SO, initial/base quantity of 14EA with all three option periods having a quantity range of 1EA-10EA. These items will be shipped to Robins AFB, GA (SW3119). The intended source is Chelton Inc, Div Cobham Antenna Systems (Cage 63563), 1955 Lakeway Drive, Lewisville, Texas 75057, due to the Government does not own the data or the rights to the data needed to purchase this part from additional sources. It has been determined to be uneconomical to buy the data or rights to the data. It is uneconomical to reverse engineer the part. Therefore, Chelton is the only responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Authority : 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a), only one or a limited number of Responsible Sources, and no other Supplies or Servies will satisfy agency requirements. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The Anticipated Release of RFP: 23 February 2011. The Anticipated Response Due Date: 25 March 2011.
