- The MICC Center - Fort Knox is conducting market research for the following requirement: Firm Fixed Price Requirement Type Contract for the operation of the U.S. Army Accession Distribution Center (ADC) in Buildings 207, 208, and 209, and 210 located at Fort Knox, Kentucky. The contractor shall manage the flow of materials, both into and out of specific storage locations, from receiving to Quality Control. In addition to managing the warehouse space owned by the Government, the contractor shall furnish, operate, and maintain 10,000 additional square feet of warehouse space at a location within 50 miles of the ADC, Fort Knox, KY. Operation of these warehouse locations includes shipping and receiving, inventorying, stocking, distribution of automated orders, and storage of Government products and materials, both on Fort Knox and at the off-site location. The Government will furnish commercial freight transportation services that will pick-up on a daily basis from the loading dock at the warehouse for Fort Knox, Kentucky during the base period 1 July 2011 through 30 June 2012 with four (4) one-year option periods. This synopsis is not a request for proposal. It is a market research tool being used to seek an interested 8(a) firm.
