- Brand Name or Equal Description Statement of Need This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is BEP-RFQ-11-0136, and it is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-49, effective 24 January 2011. NAICS code 423610 applies. This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order for the Western Currency Facility, in Fort Worth, TX, for the following Brand Name or Equal parts: QTY DESCRIPTION/ITEM # 850 • Holophane Part # IA65427GWRE IAPOL6V3 or Equal 850 • Mounting Hardware Part # IAPENMOUNT-6 or Equal 5100 • Lamps Part # GE ECOLUXF54W-T5-HO-841-ECO or Equal 850 • NEMA, Female Locking Connectors, White, Holophane Part # L7-15R (Hubble part # L4779C) or Equal (Note: the type of connector that is to be terminated on a power cord.) **See Statement of Need (SON) attached to this announcement for further details. **See Brand Name or Equal description attached to this announcement for further details. BASIS FOR AWARD: The Government will award a contract resulting from this Combined Synopsis/Solicitation to the responsible and responsive quoter whose offer conforming to the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government and offers the lowest evaluated price.
